Lest We Forget.

Well well well…last weeks note ruffled a few feathers, unsurprisingly all of the complaints came from men…go figure. As a side note I’m sure those men will also be offended that I’m implying that they wear feathers but I’m not going there…

In the spirit of not doubling down on controversy we will keep this weeks missive short and sweet.

As I type we are negotiating on several deals and I’ll make the observation that different people have very different negotiating styles. It’s always been my experience that a calm, clear and considered approach generates the best outcome.

It amazes me how many people can turn aggressive in a real estate negotiation and then be surprised that an owner elects to enter into a contract with another (more civil) party.

On several occasions I have seen properties sell to parties for slightly less money because the owners chose who they wanted to sell to.

It makes sense, I mean after all we are selling the sets of peoples lives and there is something nice about handing that diorama over to someone that you feel a sense of connection with.

Last weeks message: don’t be misogynistic, this weeks message: be nice…did someone say virtue signalling?

Signing off with more than a days work left to do but my final message is simple. Thank you to all of the men and women in uniform past, present and future.
